Is a VPN safe to use on a laptop?

Question

Accepted Answer

Yes. A trusted VPN is safe to use on a laptop and is most useful when using a laptop over public networks. Important things to consider are who runs the VPN and what data they keep. Choose a provider who has a clear no-logs policy. Only install from an official store or from the provider website. Be cautious of free VPNs that do not explain how they make money. On laptops today Senton VPN is available via our browser extensions for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox. These secure browsing activity within that browser. On a Chromebook the Android app can also be installed from Google Play. A version for Mac or Windows is currently not available.
